Had a great date night here on a busy Saturday night last week! The other review here don't lie. DON'T MISS THIS PLACE! It was noisy and bustling when we went, but despite that fact we received extremely attentive, awesome service from our sever Emilio! I was grateful and impressed that he maintained such great customer service even at 9:30pm. He checked on us at least three times (possibly because it wasn't the rush hour, but we were treated as though we were the only customers there) Our food was an experience all its own. My husband and I split the brisket tacos, Warm brussels salad, and delicata squash. All were amazing!! Definitely exceeded my expectations (even as a lover of gourmet food). The Warm Brussels Salad was good enough to stuff oneself! The Road to Hannah cocktail was also a new favorite of mine, very fresh and bright. The chill, non-rush attitude in regards to our bill reminded us of our visit to Italy. They didn't hand it over and tell us "no rush" (still feels like a rush, doesn't it?), we were simply checked on multiple times until we were done eating, and ready to pay. Overall, we had a wonderful time at Hops. These kinds of food experiences are what make memories!
Our server Nick was great! There wasn’t much of a wait at all and service was pretty fast. Great selection of apps, meals, and drinks. Everyone at my table was happy with their choices. Will definitely visit again!
My bride and I wanted to be downtown Holland around the shops and dining. The restaurant popped up with ChatGPT recommendations based on what we wanted and it was great atmosphere, good food reviews, and full bar. This place did not disappoint in any category. I personally ordered the pot pie for that night and was blown away on the crust and the flavors of the short rib! We will return!
Great menu with a lot of unique items, although it's limited. Good selection of craft beer and mixed drinks. I had the Wagu Steak Frites and they were great. Pizza was good as well. Entrees are available with substitutions for vegetables, fries, etc. Jasmine did a great job as our server and really hustled to make sure our needs were satisfied. Good location with entrances in front and back.
Wow. We did not expect the food to be so amazing. The goat cheese app was so delicious. I believe it was mostly because their tomato sauce was perfect. Best of all, my mind was blown when they brought out my "not your papa's reuben". The pastrami was made in house, smoked and cut thick. The flavor made you close your eyes and and breathe. I gave my husband a bite and knew he wad instantly very jealous. The waiter was super attentive and sweet too. Highly recommend this place.
Very busy place on Saturdays- wait was an hour and 30 mins at 7PM so we went elsewhere and made a reservation for Sunday, which turned out to be a great move. The place is busy but not annoyingly busy on Sundays- good service by our waitress Kelly in the bar seating area. Nice music and perfect noise level for talking. Went with my gut and tried the dill pickle pizza- it was so delicious!! The pesto crust, dill pickle plus brine oof the bacon with gooey cheese is a divine flavor combination. Cheese curds were yummy too!
Ate here three times in four days. Needless to say, food was tremendous! We had something different each time and everything was exceptional and comment worthy. Service was equally as good. We asked questions about the location and building and received a thorough explanation of 84 East’s history. Highly recommend! Will return without a doubt!
We had a wonderful meal and drinks at Hops. Food menu was a little bit different to your usual American pub fare, thank goodness! And the flavours were amazing. Service was great too. We will be back!
Great vibe and atmosphere. Delicious food and drinks. Try the margarita flight. Loved all the flavors and was pretty strong. Ordered the whipped ricotta appetizer. Very tasty. I ordered the brisket tacos. They were a little fatty but brisket can be. Delicious grilled flavor and all the flavors just meld together perfectly. The husband ordered the pork belly. Perfectly crisp and tender.
We stopped here for lunch. We ordered Smoked Wings, Chichen and Grit and Shrimp and Grit. We took the very first bite, both my wife noticed the wings were not fully cooked. We let the waitress know. She took it back and said she would get us a new one. Later, manager also talked to us to make sure wanted a new one. The waitress told the wings would come after we got the main dishes. The Chicken and Grit tasted very very good. It was very special that I had never had in any other place. I really like it a lot. My wife also,like Shrimp and Grit as well. When got the check, we noticed the took out the charge of Smoked Wings. We talked to the manager that we had the Smoked Wings that we should pay it. He told us that they did not do right so he took out the charge and that was ok. We were very impressed what he did so we decided to give Waitress better tips to make it up. We will certainly come again if we are in the area. Again, excellent food and great services. Highly recommended.
